O's develop GREAT Sunday promotion
Location: BlogsBlogsDrew Forrester's Blog, sponsored by Koons Ford Security Blvd

The Orioles - clearly starting to see the light in the way they treat their fan base - have developed what I believe might just be their best promotion of the entire year.

The promotion will take place at this Sunday's home game vs. Texas.

Following the orders issued by a team PR representative in late March, I am not at liberty to divulge or discuss the promotion (the exact quote was: "in fact, we'd prefer that WNST not talk about the team at all...don't even mention us...").

Rest assured, though, what they're doing this Sunday is a GREAT idea and I'm thrilled that they're going out of their way to reach out to the hometown baseball fans.

I was given the inside scoop on the promo Drew. This is how it works and since you are not at liberty to disclose it than I will. The Orioles are going to give the fans a full refund to the fans who attend Sunday's game should they lose.

Its time to let go of the O's love-hate thing. Do you have to mention the pr statement about the radio station at every turn? Perhaps they have moved past it, can you ask them? I am not being facetious I am asking seriously. They could use your guys attention and you guys have to talk about them. They have done things this year that nobody believed they'd do, maybe this will be yet another thing.

if the orioles draw more fans this year, it will not because of the bizarro marketing dept., but despite them, and most likely due to the results on the field. where did those marketing bozos at the warehouse go to school? the hugo chavez school of management? yikes!
