Weeding out the truth...

So, Derrick Martin of the Ravens says he wasn't the Derrick Martin who was cited for marijuana possession in Cleveland on Saturday night.

Interesting.

Some guy named Derrick Martin (spelled the same way) with the same birthdate as the Derrick Martin who plays for the Ravens (5/16/85) and the same address as the guy who plays for the Ravens in Owings Mills, MD was cited for marijuana possession at Hopkins International Airport on Saturday.

But Derrick Martin of the Ravens says that didn't happen to him.

What a coincidence, huh?  Two guys named Derrick Martin with the same birthdate live at the exact same address in Maryland and happened to be at the Cleveland airport on Saturday night.

Welcome to Stage One of the NFL Drug and Alcohol Abuse program Derrick.

For the record, and, I've said this a lot:  I think 30-40% of the players in the NFL use marijuana.  It doesn't really surprise me that a player - in the off-season - was cited for weed possession.

It does surprise me though that the guy would say, "that didn't happen to me..."

Will the real Derrick Martin please stand up?

If you are that freaking stupid to have three bags of weed in your suitcase at an airport , you should get arrested! Brilliant!

Derrick Martin officially went off the bubble list to the death watch list. There's 5 corners on this roster who are pretty much locks: McAlister, Roller, Washington, Ivy and Walker. That leaves 1 spot at most between Walls, Prude, Martin and Pittman. Good luck Derrick Martin.<br>By the way, I agree with your 30-40%...if anything its probably even higher...no pun intended.

This will be the first of many tests in John Harbaugh's young head coaching career, how to handle the discipline for an idiot near-do-well football player. Remember Ralph Staten? See ya, Derrick!

Forest had it right so many years ago........"Stupid is, as stupid does". What an idiot!
