It's LIGHTNING ROUND .....

It’s Thursday, and that means it’s time for another edition of “Lightning Round” …. where I give you a series of questions requiring short, opinionated answers. Each week, we’ll try to mix it up and cover new subjects. Here’s the questions for this week?

Question #1 - Will Kevin Millar be an Oriole on August 1st?

Rex’s Answer – No, he will carry a decent average and OBP through the summer and a contending team will desire his positively-charged clubhouse effect.

Question #2 - People Magazine recently issued their “100 Most Beautiful People” edition. Who’s the most beautiful female reporter to EVER appear on a Baltimore newscast?

Rex’s Answer – Dina Napoli – where is she now? And, as a kid, I thought Rudy Miller was hot.

Question #3 – Is Omar Vizquel a Hall Of Famer?

Rex’s Answer – Hmmm …. there’s a name you don’t usually hear in the discussion. But, YES he is. They lowered the bar to Omar’s level when Ozzie Smith made it in. Just look at their numbers …..

Question #4 – American Idol is down to the Final-3. Who wins?

Rex’s Answer – David Archuleta

Question #5 – Do you think the weekly radio shows hosted by the likes of Ray Lewis, Jon Ogden, Bart Scott and Willis McGahee had a negative impact on the 2007 Ravens?

Rex’s Answer – YES …. and I’ll clarify my answer by saying the negative influence was realized, because the players had “creative control” over the dialogue and content. Thus, opportunities were taken to promote personal agendas, which carries the potential for division and mutinous circumstances.

1. Millar will still be an Oriole on August 1. (I'm still not happy about him being a public Red Sox cheerleader in the post season, but that is another subject.) 2. Lisa Willis on Fox 45. 3. Here's hoping that the HOF doesnt continue to lower the bar...I say NO on Vizquel. 4. ??? 5. Absolutely. Hopefully the Ravens will be more of a team this year - all of them running in the ALS run last week is a great start.

1) Millar will not be an Oriole on 8/1 and that is good thing. I like Kevin, but it is time for him to go and he might win another ring. Good luck to him. 2) Sloane Brown, she just had that sultry, bad-girl "look". Rudy Miller??? Are you nuts? Not much there to look at, rex old boy! Take off your beer goggles! 3) No way, Omar doesn't have the personality that Ozzie Smith had and this will hurt him with the uneducated Baseball Writers of America. 4) Who gives a f**k about American Idol on a sports show...no further comment on this non-subject, numb-nuts! 5) Absolutely it did, but I hope that it continues. I can't stand the Ravens. All of these guys are huge ego-maniacs who believe that there really is an "I" in TEAM. Ray Ray was the best to me, charging people to come in and listen to his rants about God and Jesus.

1. Yes...who wants a guy hitting .231 for the playoff run? 2. Sade Baderinwah of Channel 11 3. Vizquel is a "yes" 4. I said it when they chose the 24 and I'm sticking with it...Archuleta. 5. Absolutely.

1. For the love of God let's hope not! If MacPhail can get .50 cents on the dollar for that hack, do it tomorrow! Millar flat out stinks. 2. Deborah Weiner - I find her alarmingly attractive. 3. Omar Vizquel? The Vets' Committee let in Rizzuto (a disgrace) and Ozzie Smith truly doesn't belong. Enough! It's about legitimate offensive production, not flashing leather. If Tony Fernandez played 20 years, he'd be Vizquel's equal, but why would longevity count without real numbers? 4. Never watched it, could care less about frauds lip-synching to crappy pop songs. 5. No doubt those shows had a negative impact last year. Let's hope Coach Harbaugh has the stones to tell the prima donnas "no" this fall.

1. Millar will below the Mendoza line in late August and therefore MacPhail won't be able to give him away. 2. Carol Costello hands down. Just say no to Omar. 4. Who gives a flying f... That show has worn out it's welcome. 5. Yes I believe they did have a negative impact. Ravens ought to write into contracts that no player can have their own radio show.

1. Millar, Huff, Hernandez, R., Scott, Bradford, Walker and Sherrill will all be gone by Aug 31st. The last to have your post-season rosters set.

2. I agree Dina Napoli wins hand-down or hands-on mmmmm..... I would say Sage Steele was number 2. I used to think Sally Thorner was the hotties chick on MD TV.

3. Omar is not a HOF candidate. No way he gets in.

4. Who cares about American Idol? I don't. But to answer the question... ah who am I kidding I don't have a clue.

5. Too many players with selfish intentions. Just stick to football dammit!

Re: It's LIGHTNING ROUND ..... By Jason Jubb on 5/8/2008 6:57 PM

1. Millar will be here, 2. I'm kind of digging Amy Fadool right now, 3. Omar gets in. He is Ozzie Smith without the stupid back flip, 4. I have no idea. How can you watch that crap? Isn't there some sport you can watch?, 5. I don't think it mattered but I thought the shows were awful.
