Here are the latest poll results from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America for the week ending 9/24 for local high schools and college.
In the high school latest national poll only DeMatha is in the top 25 for boy's soccer. DeMatha broke into the top 25 this week at #18 with a 8-0-3 record. In Region IV, DeMatha is at #3 followed by McDonogh at #5 with a 9-1-0 record, River Hill at #7 with a 4-0-1 record and Broadneck at #12 with a 5-1-0 record.

New Soccer Rankings Out |

With the release of the lastest soccer rankings some teams moved up and some fell out of the rankings.
In Division I Men's College Soccer the Terps moved up to the #2 position in this week's national poll. Maryland 5-1-0 moved from #4 to #2. Loyola stayed at #17 with a 6-0-1 record. Maryland stayed #1 in the South region with Towson at 4-2-0 breaking in at #8. Loyola stayed at #1 in the North Atlantic Region with Mt. St. Mary's at 3-2-1 at #9.

Area Soccer Teams Ranked Nationally |

The Baltimore-Washington area has always been a soccer hot bed for as long as I can remember. This year is no different with area teams, both high school and college, earning national rankings.
At the high school level McDonogh Girls Soccer Team is currently ranked #1 in the latest NSCAA Poll. In the latest Region IV Poll there are three area teams ranked at #1, #9 and #10. Of course, McDonogh is at #1 and Good Counsel is at #9 and Quince Orchard is #10.

Blast Begin New Era |

Today at the Tower (1st Mariner Building) Baltimore Blast owner Ed Hale announced the formation of a new league for this upcoming season at a press conference. The new league will be name the NISL or National Indoor Soccer League.
Five clubs will make up the new NISL. The clubs are the Baltimore Blast, LaRaza de Monterrey, Philadelphia Kixx, Orlando Sharks and the Rockford Rampage. Each team will play a 18 game schedule with 9 home games and 9 away games. Games and s ...
