So I have arrived here at the Prudential Center and am about 15 feet from where the fights will be taking place tonight. It is pretty interesting now as they are rehearsing for Busta Rhymes who will come to the cage with Brett “Grim” Rogers which will be the first fight on television tonight. It is funny because there is a 40 something year old white guy walking down the ramp mouthing the words to a Busta Rhymes song.

MacPhail's wasting away ...
Blogs Pete Kerzel's Blog By Pete Kerzel on 5/31/2008 12:26 PM

As if I needed another reason to like Orioles President of Baseball Operations Andy MacPhail, I got a musical one the other night.

Taking advantage of the rain delay Tuesday night (gotta love those ninth-inning interruptions), I tracked MacPhail in the hallway outside the press dining room. He was looking at the frames photos of Orioles who have appeared on covers of magazines such as Sports Illustrated.

We spent about five minutes talking about t ...

The Orioles Have Three Strikes Today Already
Blogs Emily Agueda's Blog By on 5/30/2008 2:00 PM

Strike one - To quote WNST's morning show host, "Why should I promote a night at the ballpark when the O's don't care to engage ALL the media in help with promotional efforts?"

Strike two- This is the beginning of the Boston series when they need to call out to all homers and fans to come out and root on the O's.

Strike three - They miss a perfect opportunity to market a promotion aimed directly at women and girls.  How better t ...

My sinister plan failed
Blogs Bob Haynie's Blog, sponsored by Bud Light By Bob Haynie on 5/30/2008 6:59 AM

For the past couple of days, I’ve been praising the Los Angeles Lakers and all of their greatness. Of course, the reason that I was doing that, was to put the famous “Haynie Schleprock” on them.

If you missed it, I bet Rob Long the San Antonio Spurs would beat the Lakers in the Western Conference finals.

So, the Lakers took a 3-1 lead in the series and I to resort to the my secret weapon.

Well, the “Haynie Schleprock” did work… ...

It's play-in time...here are my 8
Blogs Drew Forrester's Blog, sponsored by Koons Ford Security Blvd By Drew Forrester on 5/30/2008 6:06 AM

I've reviewed the names of the potential play-in candidates and I have eight (8) players on my list.  How I'm going to get that list down to the required four is beyond me, but I will.

Anyway, here are my eight I'm currently considering:
