Just got done listening to Marc Rosen's call in to Drew on Thursday morning in our audio vault.

If nothing, it provided great comedy, this fool calling in to try to make a fool of Drew, only to find out rather quickly that he's in over his head. The dude brought it on himself by bending the truth, back-peddling and saying things that were almost silly. And Drew kinda effortlessly -- almost inadvertently -- pulled his pants down!

How sports and life intersect ...
Blogs Chris Pika's Blog By Chris Pika on 8/31/2007 12:50 PM
Tonight, the Ravens take on the Falcons in the final preseason game for both teams in the Georgia Dome and I will be on hand to blog for WNST.net. Just over two years to the day, normal life was redefined not long after a Ravens game in another city.

On Friday, Aug. 26, 2005, the Ravens made their way to New Orleans to play the Saints in the Louisiana Superdome. At the time, I was the director of new media for the Saints in charge of their web site and an occasional WNST g ...

What have you done with my wrestling?
Blogs Casey's Blog sponsored by, BaltimoreGolfing.com By Casey Willett on 8/31/2007 10:39 AM
The state of pro wrestling has gone down the hill in a hurry.

With the latest announcement that 10 WWE superstars have been suspended for substance abuse, it has only gotten worse. Not to mention all the deaths that are occurring at an alarming rate now with current and or former pro wrestlers. I use to be glued to my television any time wrestling came on, now I could not tell you when it comes on hardly or name half the guys.

Towson football and the best hit you will see this year ...
Blogs Casey's Blog sponsored by, BaltimoreGolfing.com By Casey Willett on 8/31/2007 8:51 AM
Last night was my first ever Towson football game and I have to tell you that it was a very enjoyable time. From the WNST tailgate tent where listeners and WNST staff enjoyed conversation and the out of this world chicken tenders from Cluck-U Chicken (hands down the best chicken tenders, I have ever had), to Andy Nelson’s BBQ. Mix in some Miller Lite, Pepsi, and Budwei ...

How Bad Can It Get ...

What would it be like without the Ravens? Have you ever thought about that? Let’s face it: as much as the Orioles “sicken” us to our stomachs, we’ll put their gross incompetencies in the back of our minds and hearts in just another week.

But in the meantime, think about it. How disgruntled, jaded and indifferent have we grown as baseball fans? With the approach of Opening Day, many of us look forward to the start of our fantasy baseball leagues, instead of the Orioles' hop ...

Preseason, shmeeseason... college football STARTS TONIGHT!  It counts folks.  Granted there's not much in the way of marquee matchups tonight but LSU-MIss St. could be interesting for the first half before the Tigers realize they're in the hunt for a national championship and put a whooping on Mississippi State.  On Saturday, of course, you've got Notre Dame vs. Georgia Tech plus a game you won't want to miss- California ...

What a wild Thursday on The Comcast Morning Show.

Faced with talking about yet another late-game O's meltdown, this morning's show suddenly took off in a direction that was not only unexpected, but, in the end, welcomed.

To review, on Monday night at his restaurant in Canton, Ray Lewis hosted the first of his weekly radio shows.  There was some sort of (unintentional, I'm sure) communication breakdown at the door - e-mailers (M ...

The longest week of the year?
Blogs Ken Zalis's Blog By Ken Zalis on 8/30/2007 3:18 PM
So here we are ONE WEEK away from the first meaningful game of the NFL season. For NFL and Fantasy nuts like me...this is our longest week of the year. It's that carrot we just can't reach but get ever so close every time we try. ONE WEEK, 7 Days 168 hours, 10,080 minutes and 604,800 seconds...agony!

At least we do have some great college football action this week. The game I really am eager to see is Notre Dame and Georgia Tech...I am picking the upset now...GT wins t ...

The line in the game between LSU and Mississippi State has moved up a couple of points since its' opener. However, the number still seems fairly reasonable given the class difference between these teams.

Indeed, the Tigers have absolutely owned the Bulldogs, going 11-1 straight up and 10-2 against the spread the past dozen meetings. That includes a 48-17 beat-down last year and a 37-7 thrashing in 2005. The previous year was even worse as LSU routed Mississippi State 51-0 ...

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas -- at least for this college football enthusiast, to say the least. Today kicks off the 2007 college football season and we could not be more excited. The opening weekend is sure to bring some surprises as preseason paper champions many times find reality on the field. With all the preseason talk now behind us, let’s take a look at a few …
